Ike White

Advisory Board Member

Ike White is a member of the U.S. Department of Energy Alumni Network Advisory Board and retired from DOE in January 2025. Prior to his retirement, he led the Department of Energy’s Office of Environmental Management (EM), providing leadership for the safe cleanup of the environmental legacy brought about from five decades of nuclear weapons development and government-sponsored nuclear energy research.

Before joining EM in 2019, Ike served as the Chief of Staff and Associate Principal Deputy Administrator for the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA), providing leadership and coordination on operational and technical issues. While in NNSA, Ike also served as the Deputy Associate Administrator for Safety and Health and held various other management and technical positions in Defense Programs. Earlier in his career, he served in a variety of technical positions at the Defense Nuclear Facilities Safety Board focused on nuclear safety and operations.

Ike has a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Mississippi and a Master of Science in engineering from the University of California, Berkeley. He currently lives in Shepherdstown, West Virginia.
