Michelle Roose
Board Advisor
Michelle Roos (she/her) is a Board Advisor for the U.S. Department of Energy Alumni Network. She has served as the Executive Director of the Environmental Protection Network (EPN) since 2018. EPN has a small staff and over 750 EPA alumni across the country volunteering their time to protect the integrity of EPA, human health, and the environment.
Michelle is also an EPA alum who worked in both Washington, D.C., and San Francisco, California, on a number of projects. In 2004, she co-founded the West Coast Collaborative—a public-private partnership that implements projects to reduce emissions from diesel engines along the West Coast, Alaska and the American Pacific Islands. And in 2011, she led a national work group to better incorporate environmental justice into the federal environmental permitting process as part of Plan EJ 2014. Michelle also interned at CEQ, worked as a permit engineer for the state of Texas, and worked as an independent environmental consultant for a variety of clients including E4 Strategic Solutions, His Majesty Charles the Third, and EcoMedia.
